8011 belongs to the Al-Fe-Si aluminum alloy (8xxx series), known for its high formability, good sealing and economy, and is a common material in the field of packaging and container manufacturing. Its core features are as follows:


1. Chemical composition (typical value)

Fe (Iron) : 0.5-0.7% - improved strength and heat resistance

Si (Silicon) : 0.4-0.6% - forms a dispersion strengthened phase with Fe

Other: Residual Al, including trace Cu, Mn (total ≤0.1%).


2. Physical properties

Density: 2.71 g/cm³ (close to pure aluminum)

Melting point: about 655°C

Electrical conductivity: approximately 58% IACS (close to 61% of pure aluminum)

Thermal expansion coefficient: 23.6×10⁻⁶/K (suitable for glass, plastic composite).


3. Mechanical properties (after O annealing)

8011 aluminum coil production process and specifications

8011 aluminum coil is produced by the combined hot-cold rolling process, and its process flow and typical parameters are as follows:


1. Production process flow

Casting: Control Fe/Si ratio to avoid coarse intermetallic compounds;

Hot rolling: 480-520°C rolling to medium thick plate (initial thickness 10-30mm);

Cold rolling: multi-pass rolling to the target thickness (usually 0.1-3mm), the intermediate need to be softened by annealing;

Annealing treatment: 340-380°C after heat preservation, slow cooling, O state high plasticity.


2. Typical specifications

Thickness range: 0.1mm-3mm (ultra-thin roll can reach 0.006mm, but special rolling mill is required);

Width range: 100mm-2000mm (customizable slitting);

Volume weight: 500kg-5 tons (adjusted according to equipment capacity).


3. Material status

O state (annealed state) : soft state, the highest elongation, suitable for deep stamping;

H18 (full hard) : unannealed after cold rolling, strength increased but plasticity poor;

H22/H24: partially hardened, balancing strength and formability.
